Notes:

Hey Walter!!We just moved into our very first home and I am LOVING digging and planting in my very own yard!! How gorgeous is it this flower? I know it’s some kind of lily, but not sure what kind. It’s Sept, and it’s all bunched up in one spot – can I separate now and give to some friends or share it’s beauty with our hospital garden where I work. This other is driving me crazy and keeps coming back – winding itself all over and thru my bushes. HELP! Thanks so much for your time!

Well, to get rid of the cypress vine, you might try looking at this page and following the suggestions.: http://www.gardenguides.com/120911-rid-cypress-vine.html

Looks like an old fashioned amaryllis. Here’s a pic so you can see. It also looks like there’s some blue stokes daisy growing along the edge of the sidewalk. http://davesgarden.com/guides/articles/view/468/

The second one is a cypress vine. They don’t root very deeply and should be relatively easy to yank out where you don’t want them.
