Hello, this is growing in Southern California near Palow Verdes. This purple flowered bush grows in my back yard and comes up all over the place. It grows up straight through cement and gets large. It has sharp spike-like thorns on the stalks and stems. It seems like it strarts out like a bush, but gets large, competing in size with fruit trees. Thanks!
