Notes:
This plant is about eight feet tall now. Its leaves are several inches long. The stem looks to be pulpy, and maybe fibrous.

Looks like giant ragweed… http://www.illinoiswildflowers.info/weeds/plants/giant_ragweed.htm I think I’d pull that for the compost pile… before it blooms.
